Pad Thai is one of the most favored of recent trending foods in the world. It’s enjoyed by millions daily. It’s easy, it’s fast, it tastes yummy. They’re nice and they look wonderful. Pad Thai is something that I’ve loved my whole life.

Pad thai, or phad thai, is a stir-fried rice noodle dish commonly served as a street food and at most restaurants in Thailand as part of the country's cuisine. Pad Thai with no compromise, this is what the real stuff should be like! Well-balanced flavours and not overly sweet. Lots of ingredients but SO worth it!

To begin with this particular recipe, we have to prepare a few components. You can have pad thai using 12 ingredients and 9 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Pad Thai:
  1. Take 100 g tamarind paste
  2. Make ready 50 g fish sauce
  3. Take 50 g palm sugar
  4. Take 25 g thai soy sauce
  5. Take 50 g water
  6. Take 50 g rice stick noodles
  7. Make ready 1 egg
  8. Get 100 g protein (chicken, tofu, shrimp, other seafood)
  9. Make ready 50 g fresh or thai pickled carrot
  10. Take 75 g Bean sprouts
  11. Get Garlic chives
  12. Get Crushed peanuts

This is a traditional Pad Thai recipe used by a friend's mother. You can use chicken, pork, beef, tofu, or a combination. You may want to start with less pepper, and work your way up. Pad Thai is Thai stir-fried noodles with rice stick noodles, shrimp, chicken, fried tofu, eggs and Pad Thai sauce.

Instructions to make Pad Thai:
  1. Sauce: Combine ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil, then simmer until the sugar has dissolved. Strain. Adjust sweetness, saltiness and texture with sugar, fish sauce and water. Makes sauce for 4-6 servings. Can be kept refrigerated at least a couple of weeks.
  2. Cut the chives to the same length as the bean sprouts.
  3. Heat a wok on high heat and add some peanut oil.
  4. Crack in the egg on one side of the pan, breaking the yolk.
  5. Add the protein on the side of the egg and stir fry while the egg cooks.
  6. Add the carrot and stir fry briefly, before breaking up the egg and stir frying everything in the pan together.
  7. Add the noodles, stir-fry briefly, then pour in the sauce and stir-fry until the sauce is evenly distributed and the noodles are cooked through adding some water if it becomes too dry.
  8. Add the bean sprouts, peanuts and chives and stir fry for a few moments.
  9. Serve with fresh coriander, crushed peanuts, chilli flakes, sugar, soy sauce and fish sauce on the side as condiments.

You may want to start with less pepper, and work your way up. Pad Thai is Thai stir-fried noodles with rice stick noodles, shrimp, chicken, fried tofu, eggs and Pad Thai sauce. The noodles are topped with crushed peanuts and served with fresh chives, lime wedges. Pad Thai is like a warm blanket. It's a comfort food of our age, with those chewy noodles, crunchy peanuts, the sweet and tangy sauce, and plenty of chives, bean sprouts, and chicken to make it a full.
